To get a walk or book a ride you can either go to the office or you can call 519-886-FOOT (3668). Walks are accompanied by a male-female, radio-dispatched team. The volunteers are easily recognizable by their black and blue jackets worn while on duty. All teams are equipped with a two-way radio and flashlight, as well as a first aid kit. All Foot Patrol volunteers are certified with Emergency First Aid training. Walks can be picked up and dropped off at any location on or off campus, in the KW area. It is Foot Patrol's motto that "No walk is too long or too short!" A side from walking people, Foot Patrol also patrols the campus regularly throughout the night, keeping an eye out for any activities that seem suspicious. They also promote safety for the greater Waterloo community by talking to local school children and patrolling local neighbourhoods during Halloween.
